STOCK MARKET SELLS OFF EVERYTHING IN A CORRECTION!!!

Updated: May 4

Today 3/10/2025 was the perfect example of that market selling off everything it doesn't make any sense, but that is where there's big opportunities happen. I'm going to compile more of a list than what I have now, currently I have a few stocks that I have been watching. What I do is stocks that I want to buy, or I want to watch. I buy a few shares, usually 4-10 shares and the reason why I do this is because the problem in the past is that if I don't have money in the game then I really don't pay too much attention to the stock. So, if I really want to buy those stocks or really want to watch some stocks then I need to own them. I'm not too sure how the stock is going to perform or if the options are worth my time, then I'll just buy a few shares to keep an eye on the stock, that way it's always in my face. If we lose any money, it is minimum.

I'm going to take the ETF IBD investor’s business daily has an ETF (FFTY) that uses all William O’Neil’s technique to spot new up and coming companies. I have compiled a list of all those that are currently in the ETF now. Remember on ETF’s they always change the stocks; they're constantly managing them. So, I'll have to update it maybe every month, maybe every three months. But anyway, it gives us a good starting point I'll go through and analyze intrinsic value of each of those stocks, what I mean by intrinsic value.

What is it really worth based on its earnings and the amount of shares available, that gets it down to the nitty gritty because a lot of these stocks so-called hot stocks or trending the next new thing a lot of times don't have any earnings. The market is just bidding up the price, just because the market is speculating that it's going to be next big thing.  I don’t, I don't follow that philosophy because of the Dot com bubble, I stayed away from all the dot coms stocks because they had no earnings. So, if it has no earnings I don't want to own it, I did on the other hand play with day trading the Dot com stocks.

What day trading means is; I bought and sold stocks within hours or minutes. I never kept the position overnight.

The SEC has now changed the rules on Day trading. If you trade a stock several times in the same day, you're considered a professional trader, and you must register with the SEC. Needless to say we do not Day trade anymore. It was fun at the time but that's not investing,it is speculating, gambling.
